Blondie's Story

When I was thirteen, I started waitressing at my uncle’s restaurant in Helen, Georgia. Through high school and college, I continued working as a server, gaining valuable experience and developing a deep passion for the restaurant industry. After devoting many years to raising my four children, I decided to re-enter the workforce and return to what I loved most—working at a breakfast place. I've always been drawn to the energy of a bustling dining room and the joy of connecting with people just like you.

As my 40th birthday approached, I began envisioning owning my own business. With the generosity and encouragement of my wonderful parents, who believed in my dream, I turned that vision into reality. In 2015, Blondie's Diner was born!

By 2022, Blondie's Diner had flourished, thanks to the commitment of my exceptional staff, the unwavering support of family and friends, and the devotion of our customers. Inspired by new milestones, I took a bold leap in December 2020, during the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, and purchased Pine Acres on Route 6 in Chaplin, CT.

Owning two locations brought its share of challenges, but together with my family—my parents, sister, and kids—we gave Pine Acres a fresh new look in 2022, adding a little more of that Blondie’s charm with a country twist. Today, it’s known as Blondie’s Country Diner.

I am sincerely grateful that both restaurants survived the pandemic, which is a testament to this community's steadfast loyalty and our staff's dedication.
